Summerhouses are extremely popular in the UK, and that is because they’re very cheap to build whilst they don’t often require any planning permission at all. Investing in a summerhouse is a good way to add more space to your home, whilst also getting a more hidden, private area away from the hustle and bustle of family life! A conservatory is, of course, another option, but this usually works more like an additional room in your house, and some people use conservatories as additional living rooms or dining areas, so you don’t always get the same peace and quiet that you would in a summerhouse. The big advantage with conservatories, however, is the fact that they are often insulated so they’re much cosier in the winter, whilst summerhouse are usually constructed of timber and nothing else, so they can be a bit chillier, hence the term summerhouse!
