If you have had a loft conversion but decided not to completely overhaul your roof’s exterior and add in windows then your loft is still likely to look very dark. Sunlight is one of the best ways if not the best to brighten up any room including your loft, so if you can add windows then this is a wise idea. If you can’t then not all is lost, we have compiled a list of ways you can still brighten up your loft without natural light.
1. Furniture – when placing furniture in your loft, you will need to think wisely about exactly what type and colours. White and light wood coloured furniture is likely to brighten up your loft. It’s best to avoid dark colours.
2. Décor – you should also consider the type of décor you have in your loft. The same rule applies as furniture, the brighter the better. If you have walls that you can decorate do so with clean bright colours such as bright whites.
3. Glass – think mirrors or even glass furniture, the glass will reflect any light and bounce it across your loft.
